Where does the name Celeste come from?
I adopted the name from Trip to Santa Cruz i had recently.
How did you get into drum & bass?
Hidden Agenda were living in the next street and invited me round to check out there studio. After watching those guys making breaks I was hooked instantly and so started my Drum & Bass life.
Whereabouts do you/have you DJ’d and what can people expect from your sets?
All over. My sets are a combination of vocals, strong bass lines and lots of Dub Flavours.
Which DJ inspired you to start mixing?
Extreme, a local house DJ. he give me my first decks.
Which producers do you rate most at the moment?
D-kay, Calibre, Chris Su and JUJU
Are you doing any production work?
Yes, producing soulful D+B and Dub rollers.
Which DJs would you book if you had control of a radio station for a day?
Marky, Roni Size, Calibre and any of the Hospital guys.

Warm, atmospheric, Dub.
Which of your records are you most proud of?
Stranger
Where has been the most enjoyable place you've played - what made it so?
WHQ, quality sound system with a good crowd.
Musical Inspirations (not necessarily drum n bass)?
Latin music I love Spanish guitars and the mighty Prodigy for raw live excitment.
What’s the best night you’ve been to, and why?
Miami Music Conference 2004, Orlando Dec 2004 JUJU & Craze. Why? You can not beat Drum & Bass in the sun.

What one dnb tune do you wish you'd written and why?
Barcelona. D-Kay. For me the track is perfect it has everything, drama, hooks and the strongest vocals to be laid down onto D&b vinyl.
What do you think of the drum and bass scene at the moment?
Getting extremely musical with lots of new styles. Best its been in terms of quality music and production
What do you think the scene is like in Newcastle?
Fantastic Newcastle has a host of talent at present: The Turbulence Crew, Curves, Generation Dub, MIZBEE, Craggz and Parellel Forces and of course Niche.
