Charlie Rayner

Deputy Production Manager & Site Manager

Charlie Rayner is a seasoned production manager and electrician renowned for his significant contributions to the UK theatre industry. Forgoing formal drama school training, Charlie has cultivated an impressive career through practical experience and a steadfast dedication to his craft.


In 2023, Charlie began his collaboration with Niche Productions in a freelance capacity, initially assisting with the derigging of the Backyard Cinema site in Manchester. His role has since expanded, and he currently holds the positions of Deputy Production Manager and Site Manager for “The Traitors: Live Experience,” an immersive theatrical event in London’s West End.


Charlie’s diverse portfolio encompasses a range of notable projects. He served as LX 3 for “Kan Yama Kan” in Saudi Arabia, a groundbreaking production that premiered in Riyadh in January 2022. As Production Electrician, he contributed to “The Crown Jewels,” “Peaky Blinders: The Redemption of Thomas Shelby,” and “Drop the Dead Donkey,” bringing his technical expertise to these acclaimed productions.


Demonstrating his leadership capabilities, Charlie took on the role of Associate Production Manager for “Your Lie in April” in 2024, a musical adaptation staged at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London. In the same year, he served as Production Manager for “The Happiest Man on Earth” at Southwark Playhouse, “Canned Goods,” “Madwomen of the West” at Riverside Studios, and “Carnival of Invention,” a community-focused event in South Norwood. Looking ahead, Charlie is set to manage “The Passenger” in 2025, showcasing his versatility across different mediums.


Charlie’s career is characterised by a commitment to delivering high-quality productions, adaptability across various roles, and a passion for bringing stories to life on stage and screen.
