Sara Codrington

General Manager

Sara is a seasoned operations specialist with a diverse background in theatre, immersive performance, and live events. Her career began in 2007 with a placement at the Arcola Theatre, followed by a formative period volunteering with Shunt in London Bridge. There, she quickly progressed to Front of House Manager and Production Coordinator, gaining hands-on experience across a range of unconventional and site-specific projects.

Over the years, Sara has worked with leading organisations including Punchdrunk (since 2011), Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, Chelsea Theatre, Studio Wayne McGregor, and The Albany. Her roles have spanned Stage Manager, Company Manager, and Production Coordinator, supporting everything from community theatre to large-scale productions, activations, and touring events. As well as being the Head of Finance at Niche Productions Group, Sara is also the Head of Operations and Finance at DARKFIELD. Sara leads the delivery of innovative, multi-sensory experiences that challenge conventional theatre norms. She brings a meticulous eye for logistics, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to safety, accessibility, and audience experience, ensuring each production is as seamless behind the scenes as it is striking for those who step inside. Sara thrives in environments that fuse creative storytelling with cutting-edge technology, and she is passionate about the possibilities of immersive theatre to transform audience engagement. As a leader, she fosters inclusive, well-supported teams and believes in empowering others through clear communication, trust, and shared purpose.
