About the PROJECT
Tokyo Nights is a live immersive dining and performance experience inspired by the
atmosphere of Tokyo nightlife and the traditions of Japanese sumo culture. Guests are
assigned into rival teams, surrounded by live sumo action, theatrical performance, music,
lighting, food service and audience interaction throughout the evening.
The show combines elements of theatre, live event production and immersive
entertainment, requiring a confident and experienced Deputy Stage Manager to help
deliver a tightly coordinated performance environment.
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Deputy Stage Manager to join the Tokyo Nights stage
management team.
This is a traditional DSM role within a live performance environment. The successful
candidate will be responsible for calling the show, maintaining the prompt book,
coordinating backstage activity and ensuring the smooth delivery of performances across
rehearsals and the live run.
The DSM will work closely with the Company Stage Manager, technical departments,
performers, creatives and venue operations teams to ensure the show runs safely,
consistently and to a high standard.
This role requires someone calm under pressure, highly organised and confident
managing complex cue sequences within a fast-paced immersive environment.
